How to play Yukon Solitaire

Yukon looks familiar at first: build foundations from Ace to King and build tableau cards down in alternating colors. Its defining twist is the freedom to move a face-up group even when the group itself is not in sequence.

  1. Build foundations by suit

Move Aces to the foundations, then build upward in suit through King.

  2. Build tableau down by alternating color

A tableau card may be placed on a card one rank higher in the opposite color, following the selected game rules.

  3. Move a face-up group strategically

A face-up group can move as a unit even if its internal order is mixed. The destination card still needs to accept the group’s bottom card.

  4. Use empty columns with care

An empty tableau pile can take a King or a group whose bottom card is a King. No stock redeal is available in the standard Yukon rules.

Try it

Find a legal group move that exposes a hidden card, then check whether it creates a useful King landing spot.
