CareBinder Family Ops Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 22, 2026

CareBinder Family Ops is a family caregiving organization app from CodeFarmer. It helps families organize care tasks, visit questions, document checklists, medication review prompts, exports, and family handoffs. CareBinder is not a medical device, diagnostic tool, treatment tool, medication decision tool, clinician portal, or emergency service.

Information Stored On Your Device

CareBinder stores binder information in the app container on your device. This can include a care recipient profile, family task records, appointment preparation, post-visit notes, document checklist metadata, medication organization records, change logs, generated digest metadata, and export history that you create in the app.

iCloud Sync And Family Sharing

If you choose to use iCloud sync or family sharing, CareBinder encrypts care content on your device before syncing it through Apple CloudKit. Encryption keys are stored in your iCloud Keychain. Apple CloudKit may still hold metadata such as record identifiers, timestamps, sharing metadata, participant metadata, and container identifiers.

If every trusted device loses the iCloud Keychain key, encrypted CloudKit care content cannot be recovered from CodeFarmer or from the server. You control when to sync, export, share, disable family access, or delete local data.

Analytics

CareBinder may collect redacted product interaction analytics to understand whether core workflows are working. These analytics are not used for tracking and are not linked to identity in the app privacy manifest.

Analytics may include product event names and allowlisted properties such as screen, action, placement, catalog channel, broad result, device/app context, and timestamp. CareBinder is designed to drop care-content fields before analytics are cached or forwarded. The app must not send care recipient names, family member contact information, provider details, medication names, diagnoses, dosages, notes, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, care document content, or appointment content as analytics payloads.

CodeFarmer App Catalog

CareBinder includes a CodeFarmer Apps screen that can display other CodeFarmer apps from a shared app catalog. The app catalog is separate from CareBinder care content and does not need access to your binder information.

Exports And Sharing

CareBinder creates exports only after user action. Exports such as local archives, weekly digests, and Go Bag packets are user-controlled artifacts. Review exported files before sharing them with family members, caregivers, providers, or other people.

Children

CareBinder is not directed to children under 13. Do not use the app to store information about children unless you are responsible for that data and understand where you choose to export, sync, or share it.

Changes

CodeFarmer may update this policy as CareBinder changes. The latest version should be available at this URL and from the app's App Store listing.
